JSON API Instructions

Usage

Please observe the following rules

• Only one API call at a time is allowed, You must wait for the first call to complete before starting a second API call.
• API calls should be used sparingly and kept to a minimum required for reasonable business usage.
• Calls should be designed to send and recieve only the minimum required data.
• Multiple calls should be spaced with a few seconds delay between each call.
• Excessive usage will cause your account to be blocked without warning.

Authorization

API Key

Most JSON methods require an API key to access an account. The API code can be set at the menu SETTINGS >> ACCOUNT >> ACCOUNT ACCESS.

The API key should be between 16 and 64 characters long and kept secure. Anyone who has access to it can view or potentially make changes in the account.

Prop Key

Access to a property and it's rooms requires a PROP key. The PROP key can be set at menu SETTINGS >> PROPERTY >> LINK >> PROPKEY

The PROP key should be between 16 and 64 characters long and kept secure.

Room Id

Changes to room items require the room Id to be specified. The room Id is a system generated number unique to each room.

Posting Data

Data should be posted and will be returned in JSON format. Examples of the data format are given for each method.
