[property_description1] I live in a mountain village in Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture in the Tohoku region. Returning to the mountains of my hometown for the first time in over 40 years, I am reminded of the vibrant times when tobacco leaf farming and sericulture thrived. However, there are now significantly fewer young people living here, and the mountain village has become quiet. Something has to be done about this. As a fan of the outdoors and Western culture, I rented abandoned farmland in the area and started a Wagyu beef ranch. I plan to create a ranch landscape and welcome city dwellers there. It feels so good to wake up in the morning and take a deep breath in the morning mist. We have a new house and an old house that's about 150 years old. We renovated the old house and turned it into a farm inn. It was the idea of my wife, Sachiko, who I am very proud of. Now, when you hear the word "mountain village," you might think it's quite remote, but... Don't worry. There's a major convenience store nearby. Don't worry. The area is also home to a cultural center and a general hospital, so it's somewhat of a cultural sphere. Nearby are a highland hotel and a tourist farm. There's also one of Japan's leading motocross tracks, where large races are often held. It's an exciting race that attracts everyone from famous athletes to young enthusiasts. My house is in a nearby mountain village. Nearby is the Okago Christian Martyrdom Historic Site. At the beginning of the Edo period, this village prospered through iron sand production and Christianity. However, the shogunate's ban on Christianity resulted in more than 300 people being martyred (executed). Prayer caves and martyrdom sites are scattered throughout the mountains. The area also has a hidden Christian (Christian) history museum, developed as Martyrs' Park, and The Cruz Hall features a life-size statue of Jesus Christ by the renowned sculptor Yasutake Funakoshi. Many pilgrims have visited the site since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Even now, the buraku has no temple, and there is only one Catholic church. In recent years, Christmas has been celebrated in a big way. It's a rare buraku. I'm always happy to show you around. Now... The food is mostly country cuisine, but my specialty is "hatto," a traditional local dish. It's also called "suiton" or "tori-nage." Wheat flour is kneaded and rolled out, then shredded and put in a pot. It contains a variety of vegetables and meat, and is very delicious. People from the city often ask for seconds. No, it's okay. She's good at other dishes too. When my wife Sachiko was young, she was undoubtedly a young woman who would stroll around the bookstores of Ochanomizu and Kanda in her miniskirt and long coat. But now she's just a country lady... Also, I'm proud of our home, it's super clean. The kitchen is super clean, the bathroom is a modular bath, and we have a flush toilet. These are the only things that are the same as in the city. Internet, television, terrestrial digital broadcasting, and satellite broadcasting are all available. [Nearby Events] August Obon Festival: Open-air Burning Festival. Make Jomon pottery and burn it. [Nearby Attractions] ・Iwate Safari Park ・Flower and Spring Park ・Tategamori Ark Farm ・Fujisawa Sports Land [Nearby Hot Springs] Tategamori Kogen Hotel (approx. 20 minutes by car) ■Transportation: Not available ■Amenities: Please bring your own amenities, such as pajamas. ■Prices shown are for a room only. An additional 1,650 yen will be added if two meals are included. ■Rentals: Boots, gloves, hand towels, etc. (Children's items available upon request)
