Rainforest Hideaway B&B, the ultimate eco-accommodation for the adventurous traveller
Rainforest Hideaway is an amazing eco-friendly accommodation place deep inside the world's oldest rain forest, painstakingly handcrafted together by the owner over the last 23 years.
Located deep inside the ancient Daintree rain forest and within walking distance of the town centre of Cape Tribulation, beach, National Park boardwalk, restaurants, bars and shop, this is the perfect place to base yourself to explore the Daintree rainforest and coast.
With only two rooms and owner management you are assured privacy and personal attention, and in the morning we offer a free buffet style breakfast of cereals, home made coconut youghurt, coffee, tea, juices, toaast and most importantly exotic fruits in season such as dragon fruit, custard apple, soursop and many others you have never heard of.
Most tours such as jungle surfing, snorkel tours to the reef, sea kayaking and horse riding do free pickups from here, and we can help to arrange all local tours and activities for you.
On our property you can enjoy a traditional Thai massage, you can explore the sculpture trail that winds around our five acre property, play mini golf, swim in our beatiful rainforest creek, and spot prolific wildlife such as frogs, birds, lizards and cassowaries.
Rates include a healthy buffet style (uncooked) breakfast with exotic fruits served on the back verandah looking out into the rainforest, and all linen, towels, help yourself coffee and tea, and free Wifi.
We are also booking agents for a self contained treehouse, if the B&B is not adventurous enough for you or you want to do your own cooking then check out the Jungle Treehouse.
Room 1075
Room 1075 is in the main building, featuring a handmade queensize bed of local silky oak timber, private toilet and shower, and a deck overlooking the big fishpond.
This room is adjacent to communal areas but with a maximum number of guests of only four you are not likely to be disturbed by others, and this room is a good choice for those a little hesitant about venturing out to a cabin with open bathroom out in the rainforest.
