Our very spacious Deluxe suite provides superb privacy
The luxurious suite is located on the first floor (second floor in US-English). The outside patio – that comes with a nice lounge set - measures a stunning 30m2 (323ft2) and the room is with 36m2 (388ft2) even bigger. The suite comes – besides a shower - with a free-standing bathtub. The quiet but effective air-conditioning will cool things down to your liking.

General Policy

- Check-in between 2-6 pm (14:00-18:00). Can you not make it on time? We provide a self check-in option when arriving between 6-9 pm (18:00 – 21:00). But this is only possible if you contact us before! Check-in after 9 pm (21:00) is not possible.

- No babies & young children; in order to provide our guests a tranquil and relax ambiance we only allow children from 15 years and older. We want to advise everyone travelling in Costa Rica with babies and young children to add them when making a booking on platforms as Booking.com, AirBnB, Expedia, Hotels.com etc. Failing to do so can cause unnecessary discomfort and financial loss, because many hotels and B&B’s in Costa Rica have age restrictions, and your booking is only confirmed for the occupancy (adults, children, babies) that you booked. By adding your babies and children correctly on these platforms you will see that you cannot book the hotels and B&B’s with age restrictions that does not fit your party (like our B&B).

- Maximum 2 persons in a room (regardless the age).

- Quiet hours are between 9 pm (21:00) and 7 am (07:00).

- No pets allowed, but you can ‘borrow’ our sweet dog and 2 cats ;-).

- Payment at the hotel by Cash or Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB).

- Check-out before 11 am (11:00).

- Playa Matapalo is not suited to travel via Public Transportation. The bus stop is a long walk and can be heavy with the climate we have here. Playa Matapalo has no ATM and Taxi’s. Please see our car rental recommendations.

Standard Cancellation & Prepayment Policy

For stays up to 10 nights, up to 3 rooms:

High Season, November 1st to April 30th:

- The guest can cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. 50% will be charged in case of cancellation/modification within 30 days of arrival. 100% will be charged in case of no show or when making modifications during the stay.

- No prepayment until 30 days before arrival, but within 30 days before arrival, we may charge 50% of the booking value.

- These conditions may not apply for promotional rates. The possible different conditions will be mentioned with the rate.

Low Season, May 1st to October 31st:

- The guest can cancel free of charge until 3 days before arrival. The full price will be charged in case of cancellation within 3 days of arrival, no show or when making modifications during the stay.

- No prepayment is needed.

- These conditions may not apply for promotional rates. The possible different conditions will be mentioned with the rate.

For stays longer than 10 nights, up to 3 rooms:

Valid all year round:

- A 50% prepayment (non-refundable) is required to confirm the booking. 100% will be charged in case of no show or when making modifications during the stay.

All reservations for 4 rooms or more:

Valid all year round:

The guest can cancel free of charge until 60 days before arrival. A 100% prepayment (non-refundable) will be charged after the free cancellation period has passed.
