Walking through the front doors of of the Port Albert Inn is commonly described by guests as stepping back in time. The historic Inn was in fact built over 180 years ago in 1842. It still displays much of its original charm. We are open year-round and located in the tiny lake-side village of Port Albert. Our small family business has owned the Inn for 25 years and we always strive to provide clean, comfortable rooms and cottages at a reasonable price. Over the years we have met thousands of travellers and vacatioers from all walks of life from all parts of the globe and for this we are very fortunate. In addition to our rooms and cottages we have kitchen facilities with dining area that seats 40 people and this makes the Port Albert Inn the perfect location for small weddings, retreats, parties, and family reunions. All the attractions in Port Albert are not more than a 5-10 minute walk from the Port Albert Inn. The Nine Mile River meanders through the quiet valley. The Conservation Area is right next to the Port Albert Inn and here you will find the waterfalls, the foot bridge, the fish ladder and parking. The sandy public beach has free public parking and is just a 5-10 minute walk from the Port Albert Inn. Guests always enjoy Port Albert's quiet park-like setting! Across the street from the Port Albert Inn is the Port Albert General Store and Pub. Goderich, Ontario is just a 15 minute drive from the Port Albert Inn. Goderich is very unique in that it is one of the very few towns in Canada that has a circular down town square and it was described by Queen Elizabeth II as "Canada's prettiest town!"
