Built in 1906 the the Lower Blacksmith Guest House is next to the historic Port Albert Inn where we prepare tasty home cooked breakfasts. We will only host guests seeking a quiet stay. Guests that intend to stay up late and drink excessively are not welcome. Please be aware of our cottage rules and booking policies before booking. It is just a 1 minute walk to the waterfalls, the foot bridge, and Conservation Area in the tiny lake-side village of Port Albert. Located across the street is the Port Albert General Store and the Village Pub. It is a 6-8 minute walk to the sandy, public beach. The Nine Mile River is a 1 minute walk. This cottage has full kitchen facilities (no dishwasher), propane BBQ (we provide the propane) as well as a yard and fire pit area for use. Walk to the sandy public beach or drive and park for free at the sands edge. The public beach is quiet and has amazing sunsets! Wireless internet, satellite TV. There is 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 single bed with single trundle in common area. 1 full bathroom with shower and bathtub. It is a 15 minute drive to Goderich, Ontario. It is a 30 minute drive to Kincardine, Ontario. All bedding, linens, towels, soaps are provided for 6 people. Well mannered pets welcome. There is a pet fee of $19 per pet per night. Sleeps 6 people.
Open-year round the Port Albert Inn and Cottages is located in the quiet, quaint village of Port Albert on the sandy shores of Lake Huron. We offer rooms and nightly cottage rentals as well as kitchen and dining facilities and gathering space for up to 40 people. We host and provide accommodation for quiet getaways, small weddings, retreats, parties, and vacations. All together we can accommodate up to 70 people. A tasty home-cooked breakfast is included for the room guests at the Inn. All the attractions in Port Albert are not more than an 8 minute walk within our tiny village. The Nine Mile River meanders through the valley and is popular with fishermen. The Conservation Area, the waterfalls, the foot bridge, the fish ladder, and the sandy public beach are all popular attractions. Guests enjoy wandering around Port Albert's park-like setting and taking in the natural setting! Our Inn which was built in 1842 is across the street from the Port Albert General Store and the village Pub. There are many tourist attractions within a short drive of Port Albert Ontario. We are just a 2 hour drive west from the GTA and 15 minute drive north of Goderich, Ontario. We hope to have you as our guest soon on Ontario's sandy west Coast!
