Is the Covid-19 virus leaving you a little anxious and tired?  You could use a little economical holiday close by where you can take in the abundant nature and the fresh air in our tiny, little valley on the shores of Lake Huron!  We have many parks and hiking trails in the area!  The Port Albert Inn and Cottages provides you that safe, healthy holiday!

  **Due to the Covid-19 virus the Port Albert Inn and Cottages has adopted procedures to keep our guests and staff protected against the Covid-19 virus. We have adopted vigorous cleaning and disinfecting proceedures.  During your stay all guests are provided with disinfectant spray and wipes to use as they see fit.  Guests staying at the Inn and our staff will be expected to practice social distancing and regular hand washing.  As an extra precaution we will not be accepting back to back bookings at any of our rooms or cottages.  Instead a minimum of 3 days will be given between check in or out at any or our rooms or cottages.  For the near future we will not be serving breakfast at the Port Albert Inn.  Just across the street the Port Albert General Store is open and providing tasty take out food daily.**


Built in 1842, this Historic Coach House Inn is located next to the conservation area, the waterfalls, and the foot bridge in beautiful Port Albert, Ontario.  It is a 6-8 minute walk to the sandy beach.  It features 6 bedrooms in the Inn with 5 queen beds, 1 double bed on the upper level and 1 single bed and 1 single trundle bed in a common area on the main level.  We allow up to 20 people at this property.  Extra fees apply of $19 per person per night over 14 people.  There are ensuite bathrooms with showers and Satellite TV in 4 of the rooms.  There is a full kitchen with propane range, oven, 2 fridges, deep freezer, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and all common kitchen utensiles.  There is no dishwasher.  There is a large lounge with the original cherry bar, Satellite TV, and seating for 26 people.  There is a hot tub, covered patio, large yard, and fire pit for camp fires.  We provide the camp fire wood as well as propane for the BBQ.  All bedding linens, towels and soaps are provided for the beds and 14 people.  Just bring your food and your personal items!  We allow guests to bring well mannered pets to this property.  A pet fee of $19 per pet per night applies.  Across the street is the Port Albert General Store and Pub.  You can purchase cold drinks, tasty food, fresh produce, fishing tackel, gas, ice cream cones, take-out food and other convenience items.  The sandy, public beach is just a 6-8 minute walk through the park-like Nine Mile River Valley where guests can swim and enjoy awe-inspiring sunsets.  The Nine Mile River is less than a minute walk and is excellent for fishing.  Do you need more space?    If so you could also book our 6 bedroom Mill House Cottage by the falls which sleeps 17 and is located right next door!

Open-year round the  Port Albert Inn and Cottages is located in the quaint village of Port Albert near the sandy shores of Lake Huron.  We offer rooms and nightly cottage rentals as well as kitchen and dining facilities and gathering space for up to 40 people.   We host and provide accommodation for quiet getaways, small weddings, retreats, parties, and family vacations.  All together we can accommodate up to 70 people.  A tasty home-cooked breakfast is included for the bnb room guests at the Inn.  All the attractions in Port Albert are not more than an 8 minute walk within our tiny village. The Nine Mile River meanders through the valley and is popular with fishermen.  The Conservation Area, the waterfalls,  the foot bridge, the fish ladder, and the sandy public beach are all popular attractions.  Guests really enjoy wandering around in Port Albert's park-like setting and taking in the natural setting!  Our Inn which was built in 1842 is across the street from the Port Albert General Store and the village Pub.  There are many tourist attractions within a short drive of Port Albert.  We are just a 2 hour drive west from the GTA and 15 minute drive north of Goderich, Ontario.  We hope to have you as our guest soon on Ontario's sandy west Coast!
