The studio, located on the first floor, has just been totally refurbished to a very high standard. A lot of attention went into choosing the furniture, to ensure that the space was utilised to its best. The sofa is very comfortable when is used as a sofa and in 5 seconds you can convert it into a very comfortable double bed.  A new sofa bed has been installed in Jun 2016 to ensure guests have a comfortable bed.  The kitchen has everything you need to make meals should you wish to eat in. The living area has a large flat TV and has a real living room space. The bathroom is very spacious with a walk in shower. If you like small apartments you will love this one!
Alfama is the oldest district of Lisbon, spreading on the slope between the São Jorge Castle and the Tejo river. Its name comes from the Arabic Al-hamma, meaning fountains or baths. It includes the freguesias (parishes) of São Miguel, Santo Estêvão, São Vicente de Fora and part of two streets of Freguesia da Sé: Rua do Barão and Rua São João da Praça. It contains many important historical attractions, with many Fado bars and restaurants.  The great 1755 Lisbon Earthquake did not destroy the Alfama, which has remained a picturesque labyrinth of narrow streets and small squares. Lately, the neighbourhood has been invigorated with the renovation of the old houses and new restaurants where Fado—Portuguese typical melancholy music—can be enjoyed.

Beautifully renovated studio in the historic district of Alfama. Positioned in a prime spot, opposite the magnificent church of Sao Miguel, in Largo de São Miguel, this studio could not be in a better place for the visiting guest to Lisbon.  In the lower part of Alfama, no need to climb up hills or flights of stairs to reach the apartment.

Please note that this apartment is in the heart of Alfama. During the month of JUNE Lisbon celebrates with daily street parties in Alfama. These last most of the night and the streets are filled with stalls selling Grilled Sardines, Sangria, Wine & Beer. If you like a good street party you could not be in a better location. If you are looking for a quite holiday this is not the place to stay during the month of June.
