The apartment was completely refurbished on 2016 after being since the end of XIX century the residence of a local priest. Located on a hill gives you a view of the river Tagus and is also very close to many amenities like grocery shops and supermarket. Is a quirky apartment and because of its different levels not suitable for guests with more restricted mobility. No doubt the younger crowd will love this unusual flat. You are also spoiled for restaurant choices in the area. Santa Apolonia Train and Metro Station is just a short walk away.
Alfama is the oldest district of Lisbon, spreading on the slope between the São Jorge Castle and the Tejo river. Its name comes from the Arabic Al-hamma, meaning fountains or baths. It includes the freguesias (parishes) of São Miguel, Santo Estêvão, São Vicente de Fora and part of two streets of Freguesia da Sé: Rua do Barão and Rua São João da Praça. It contains many important historical attractions, with many Fado bars and restaurants.  The great 1755 Lisbon Earthquake did not destroy the Alfama, which has remained a picturesque labyrinth of narrow streets and small squares. Lately, the neighbourhood has been invigorated with the renovation of the old houses and new restaurants where Fado—Portuguese typical melancholy music—can be enjoyed.
Delightful and Quirky 1 Bedroom

This is a delightful apartment on the edge of Alfama, specially designed for young people. Very close to the Pantheon, Flea Market and Tram 28. The bedroom on top with Views of the River Tagus, the living area at entrance level and the kitchen and bathroom on the lower level. Please note that the shower and the toilet are not at floor level, but a 35 cm (1.14 ft) step must be climbed.
