Casa Oliveira refers to a product that is the basis of the borderland’s gastronomy: olive oil, made from ancestral Portuguese olive trees.
Beira Baixa olive oil, a product relevant to the economy of the region, is a delicate oil produced from the region’s native olive varieties. It has a yellowy, slightly greenish colour, a fruity aroma of predominantly ripe olives and a velvety and persistent taste, with a slightly tangy sensation in the mouth.

With an area of 40 m², Casa Oliveira has one bedroom, a living area, a kitchenette and a shower room and can accommodate up to 3 people. The house is equipped with heating, TV and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is equipped with crockery (6 pax), an electric kettle, a microwave, a toaster, a hob and a coffee machine.

Daily cleaning and breakfast products replacement are also available.

Located at the base of the hill, 2,5 Km from the center of the village and 2,9 Km from the castle of Monsanto.

These two factors -microclimate and differentiated soils -, determine the multiplicity of aromas and unique flavours of the wines produced here, only possible in this region.
According to a study by the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of the Beira Interior, the red wines produced here help prevent diseases such as stomach cancer, in addition to wine’s well known and common health benefits, if consumed in moderation.
