Shamrock Cottage is located near the sandy shores of Lake Huron and features a large private garden and 3rd floor balcany that provides amazing views of Lake Huron and the surrounding farmland. The cottage is just a 10-15 minute drive from two sandy public beaches with free parking at the sands edge. The cottage includes patio and deck. There is a firepit and we provide free camp fire wood. The cottage has wifi, satellite TV, washer and dryer. There is a fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher) with two fridges, deep freeze, propane stove, and BBQ. Propane for the BBQ is provided. The lower level area has 3 bedrooms with double bed and single bunk in each room. Please note lower level bedrooms have privacy curtains only. Main level has 1 bedroom with 1 queen, and 1 double bed. Second level has 3 bedrooms with queen bed in each room. The third floor loft has 1 queen, 1 double, and 1 single bed. There is 4 bathrooms. All bedding, linens, towels, and soaps are provided. Well mannered pets are welcome. Pet fee of $19 per night per pet applies.
The cottage is a 5-10 minute drive from the public beach in Port Albert, Ontario. In Port Albert you will find the General Store and village Pub, the Port Albert Inn, the waterfalls and the sandy public beach. The General Store sells gas, icecream, produce, take-out food, beer and wine. The pub serves cold drinks and food. It is a 10-15 minute drive to Ashfield Park with its sandy public beach and free parking. . The cottage is a 12 minute drive to buy food, take-out food, beer, liquor and wine at the Amberley Store. It is a 25 minute drive to the towns of Goderich and Kincardine.
Open-year round the Port Albert Inn and Cottages is located in the quaint village of Port Albert near the sandy shores of Lake Huron. We offer rooms and nightly cottage rentals. A tasty home-cooked breakfast is available for the room guests at the Inn. All the attractions in Port Albert are not more than an 8 minute walk within our tiny village. The Nine Mile River meanders through the valley and is popular with fishermen. The Conservation Area, the waterfalls, the foot bridge, the fish ladder, and the sandy public beach are all popular attractions. Guests really enjoy wandering around in Port Albert's park-like setting and taking in the natural setting! The historic Port Albert Inn which was built in 1842. There are many attractions within a short drive of Port Albert. We are just a 2 hour drive west from the GTA and 15 minute drive north of Goderich, Ontario.
