April Cottage is the quintessential country cottage with a wealth of oak beams and exposed brickwork. It is perfect for a cosy winter stay, you can snuggle up in front of the log burner or get out and explore in the beautiful Kent countryside.
Situated in the heart of the Garden Of England in a village location the cottage has public footpaths close by on which you can wander to the pub in Perrywood, or into the historic village of Chilham, and take refreshment before your walk back. From Chilham you can access the Pilgrims Way (called the Northdowns Way along this stretch) and walk along the banks of the river Stour to Canterbury or through Kingswood, up to Molash and stop off at The George. The area is a walkers (and possibly a beer drinkers) paradise!
Short drives away you will find the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury and the historic town of Faversham (home to the oldest brewery in the country, Shepherd Neame). In the market town of Ashford is the Highspeed rail link to London (around a 40 minute journey) or take the Eurostar to Paris or Brussels and the very popular designer outlet village. There are many other attractions well worth visiting - Dover Castle, many zoos and wildlife parks, Leeds Castle (dubbed "The loveliest Castle in the world), and many other National Trust and historic properties. Some of the UK finest beaches are less than a 30 minute drive.
The cottage is cosy, comfortable and perfect for relaxing, but surrounded by opportunities to get out explore, if you so wish.
